Our Mission

Our mission is to fund and support programs and facilities of the Fountain Hills Library.

Volunteers are needed to accomplish this worthwhile goal. Please consider volunteering!

The Fountain Hills Friends of the Library has created a scholarship of $3000 per year.  The scholarship is renewable for up to four years, if the following qualifying criteria are met by the student:

  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must exhibit a desire to teach through extra-curricular and volunteer activities
  • Must continue to pursue a degree in education in a chosen field at an accredited institution of higher learning.

Priority will be given to students who have volunteered at the Fountain Hills Branch Library.

Recipients of the scholarships will be determined by the Golden Eagle Foundation Selection Committee.

The Fountain Hills Friends of the Library fund and promote many teen programs at the Fountain Hills Branch Library. The Teen Corner at the Library is a remarkable hub of creative youth knowledge, teamwork, responsibility and workmanship. Teen Council, a FHFL sponsored club, creates great programs where the teens can work with children of the community at the library, through programs such as Princes Academy, a Star Wars program and an Orgami program. These and many other programs enable children to have fun learning experiences and enable the teens to develop leadership, teamwork skills and responsibility.

The teens participating in the library teen programs also have created many popular activities which include Book Club, Guitar Club, Video Club, Game On, Anime Club and many more. The teens grow through the programs they build themselves with the generous help of the Fountain Hills Friends of the Library.
